بازار کار به عنوان یکی از بازارهای چهارگانه نقش مهمی در رشد و توسعه اقتصادی ایفا می‌کند. بنابراین بررسی تحولات بازار کار به دلیل ارتباط تنگاتنگ آن با تحولات سایر بخش‌ها از اهمیت به سزایی برخوردار است. این مطالعه تلاش می‌کند با تعدیلاتی در یک مدل تعادل عمومی پویای تصادفی کینزی جدید برای اقتصاد ایران، پویایی¬های بازار کار را بررسی کند. پس از حل مدل، معادلات به‌دست‌آمده خطی شده و پارامترهای آن با استفاده از داده‌های فصلی اقتصاد ایران (96-84) به روش بیزین تخمین زده شد. مقایسه گشتاورهای الگو با گشتاورهای داده‌های اقتصادی نشان‌دهنده موفقیت الگو در شبیه‌سازی دنیای واقعی (تولید، مصرف، سرمایه‌گذاری، بیکاری و نرخ مشارکت) است. برسی توابع عکس‌العمل آنی نشان می‌دهد که نرخ مشارکت رفتار موافق سیکلی دارد. از طرف دیگر اشتغال در واکنش به تکانه‌های الگو (پولی، درآمد نفتی، مخارج دولت و استخدام بخش عمومی) افزایش‌یافته اما نرخ بیکاری به دلیل تغییر نرخ مشارکت و تغییر اندازه جمعیت فعال تغییر اندکی نشان داده که حاکی از پایداری نرخ بیکاری است.
