پوکی استخوان رایج ترین بیماری متابولیکی استخوان است که عوامل مختلفی مانند شاخص پایین توده بدن و عدم فعالیت جسمانی در بروز این بیماری دخالت دارند. هدف از مطالعه حاضر، ارزیابی تاثیر تمرینات مقاومتی دایره‌‌ای، ویبریشن کل بدن و ترکیبی بر غلظت سرمی ویتامینD، تراکم مواد معدنی و شاخص های عملکردی در مردان سالمند مبتلا به پوکی استخوان بود. در یک آزمایش کنترل شده تصادفی با طرح پیش آزمون پس آزمون، تعداد 60 نفر مرد سالمند مبتلا به پوکی استخوان با دامنه سنی 78-65 سال به صورت تصادفی به چهار گروه تمرین مقاومتی دایره‌ای (15 نفر)، ویبریشن کل بدن (15 نفر)، ترکیبی (15 نفر) و کنترل (15 نفر) تقسیم شدند. تمرین مقاومتی دایره‌ای با شدت 30 تا 60% یک تکرار بیشینه، 3 بار در هفته برای 12 هفته اجرا شد. تمرینات ویبریشن کل بدن (WBVT) به صورت 10 حرکت ترکیبی پایین تنه و بالاتنه که روی دستگاه ویبریشن با شدت فرکانس بین  25 تا 45 هرتز، دامنه 5 تا 8 میلی متر و زمان هر حرکت 60 تا 100 ثانیه انجام گرفت. در حالی¬که گروه کنترل سبک زندگی معمول خود را حفظ کردند. متغیرهای ترکیب بدن شامل، وزن بدون چربی (LBM)، وزن بافت نرم (SLM) و وزن عضله اسکلتی (SMM) با استفاده از دستگاه  Analyzer Body Composition، سنجش تراکم استخوانی با استفاده از دستگاه DEXA و 25- هیدروکسی ویتامینD3 با استفاده از نمونه خون قبل و پس از آخرین جلسات تمرینی اندازه گیری شد. تحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون تی همبسنته و کواریانس در سطح کمتر از 05/0 انجام شد. پس از 12 هفته مداخله، بهبود معناداری در سطوح BMD، تعادل، هماهنگی، قدرت عضلانی، وزن بدون چربی و وزن عضله اسکلتی متعاقب تمرین های مقاومتی دایره ای و ترکیبی در مقایسه با گروه کنترل مشاهده شد. با این حال، هیچ گونه تفاوت معناداری بین گروه ها در متغیرهای وزن، شاخص توده بدنی، وزن بدون چربی، وزن بافت نرم، وزن عضله اسکلتی (SMM)، BMD، تعادل، هیدروکسی ویتامین D3 مشاهده نشد (05/0p>).   . یافته‌های پژوهش حاضر نشان داد انجام تمرینات مقاومتی دایره ای، ویبرشن و ترکیبی  به عنوان یک روش درمانی غیر دارویی می تواند سبب افزایش قابل توجهی در تراکم استخوانی و شاخص های عملکردی مردان سالمند شود ولی تاثیری بر شاخص های هورمونی مردان سالمند مبتلا به پوکی استخوان ندارد، مطالعات بیشتر با پیگیری طولانی مدت برای تایید این یافته ها باید مورد توجه قرار گیرد.
