Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the psychometric properties of Persian language version of internet abusive use questionnaire (IAUQ). Translation-back translation was used to prepare the Persian version of the IAUQ. The target population of the study included all students in public universities in Yazd Province, Iran. Using convenience sampling, a total of 318 correctly completed questionnaires of IAUQ, Young's questionnaire for internet addiction and demographic properties were collected. Collected data were analyzed by synchronous reliability, internal consistency, explanatory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and Chronbach's alpha. Findings extracted two factors for the questionnaire. Also, Chronbach's alpha coefficient and convergent reliability were 0/91 and 0/82, respectively. After content validation, confirmatory factor analysis was used to investigate construct validity of IAUQ. Finding showed The dual-factor structure corresponds to the proposed factors in original questionnaire. Results showed that the IAUQ for Iranian society have optimal psychometric properties and could be used in Iranian sample.

Abstract
Nowadays, the internet is one of the essential parts of student life, and its addiction is causing many problems. This study aimed to model structural equations of borderline and psychopathic personality traits with internet addiction and mediating distress intolerance. Participants included male and female students of Tabriz University. Two hundred sixty students were selected by cluster sampling and completed the Borderline Personality and Levinson's Psychopathic Traits questionnaire, Young's Internet Addiction Test, and Simon and Gaher's distress tolerance Scale. Finally, 240 questionnaires were analyzed by structural equation modeling. The results showed that borderline and psychopathic personality traits directly affected internet addiction, and distress tolerance was a significant mediator of these relationships. It is suggested to consider the role of distress tolerance in people with borderline and psychopathic traits in the study and intervention of internet addiction.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of metacognition in the relationship between attachment styles and online gambling addiction in adolescents. The method of the present study was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population was all male adolescents in district one of Tehran, from which a sample of 234 people were selected by convenience sampling method. The research instruments were Wells Metacognitive Beliefs Questionnaire,Wang and Chang online game addiction,and Collins and Reed attachment style. Relationships between variables were performed by Pearson correlation test and structural equation modeling test using partial least squares method. Pearson correlation test showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between secure attachment with metacognition and online gambling addiction and between positive avoidance and anxiety with metacognition and online gambling addiction and a positive and significant relationship between metacognition and online gambling addiction (0.05>P)existed. It also clarified the indirect relationship between the dimensions of attachment and online gambling addiction through metacognition and showed that metacognition plays a mediating role in the relationship between the dimensions of attachment and online gambling addiction. It is suggested that psychologists emphasize the role of attachment and metacognition dimensions for preventive interventions and awareness-raising for families and schools.

Abstract
The aim of the research was to investigate addiction to virtual social networks with the mediating role of harmful eating behaviors and negative body image in athletes. The method of this research is a correlational design based on the analysis of structural relationships. The statistical sample in this research was 309 athletes from Tehran in 1402. Research data were collected using the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (2016), Littleton's Body Image Fear Inventory (2005), Exercise Dependence Scale (2002), and Nutrition Attitude Test (1982). Questionnaires were also completed online. The findings showed that addiction to virtual social networks with the mediating role of harmful eating behaviors can predict sports addiction, but addiction to virtual social networks could not predict sports addiction with the mediating role of negative body image. According to the above results, we can understand the importance of harmful eating behaviors in the path of addiction to virtual networks and addiction to sports, and by targeting these components, we can help to improve addiction to sports.

Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the prediction model students' addiction tendencies based on insecure attachment styles with the mediation coping styles. The research method was descriptive and structural equation modeling. The statistical population in this research included undergraduate students of Payam Noor Qom University in 1400, from whom 285 people were selected as a sample using non-probability sampling method. The research tools included the Revised Attachment Styles Questionnaire (Collins and Reed, 1990), Coping Styles Questionnaire (Lazarus and Folkman, 1980) and Addiction Tendency Scale (Wade and Bopper, 1992). The results of the conceptual model test showed that the fit indices of the research model are in a favorable condition. Insecure attachment style and tendency to use drugs had a direct and significant relationship (P≤0.005). Also, insecure attachment style through coping styles had significant indirect effects on students' tendency to use drugs (P≤0.005). The findings of the research indicated the appropriate fit of the conceptual model of the research. Based on this, in addiction treatment clinics, it is necessary to pay attention to attachment styles and coping styles to reduce the level of addiction tendency.

Abstract
The present study aimed to examine the mediating role of emotion regulation and emotional suppression in the relationship between personality traits and addiction tendencies among university students. This research was a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population consisted of all students at Kharazmi University during the academic year 2023-2024, from which 357 students were selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected using the NEO Five-Factor Personality Inventory (McCrae & Costa, 1992), the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (Gross & John, 2003), and the Addiction Tendency Scale (Weid & Butcher, 1992). Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling with SPSS 24 and Amos 24 software. The results revealed that neuroticism had a direct and positive relationship with addiction tendency, while extraversion and conscientiousness showed a direct and negative relationship with addiction tendency. No significant direct relationship was found between agreeableness and addiction tendency. Furthermore, neuroticism had a direct relationship with emotional suppression, while extraversion and conscientiousness had a direct relationship with reappraisal of emotions. Reappraisal of emotional experiences was not significantly related to addiction tendency, but emotional suppression had a significant direct relationship with addiction tendency. Additionally, emotional suppression played a mediating role in the relationship between neuroticism and addiction tendency (t = 1.96). Therefore, personality traits, as well as emotion regulation and suppression, play a significant role in the tendency toward addiction among students. Targeting these two factors in psychological treatments may be effective in reducing students’ addiction tendencies.

Abstract
The present study aimed to develop a structural equation model of internet addiction based on Machiavellianism and anxious attachment style, with a focus on the mediating role of psychological loneliness among female high school students. This research employed a descriptive-correlational design. Participants were selected through a multistage cluster random sampling method, and data were collected using standardized questionnaires assessing internet addiction, dark triad personality traits, adult attachment styles, and psychological loneliness. Data analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings indicated that Machiavellianism, anxious attachment, and psychological loneliness had significant direct effects on internet addiction. Additionally, Machiavellianism and anxious attachment were significant predictors of psychological loneliness. The mediating role of psychological loneliness in the relationship between Machiavellianism and anxious attachment with internet addiction was also confirmed. These results suggest that personality and emotional variables—particularly Machiavellianism, anxious attachment, and psychological loneliness—play a critical role in the development and persistence of internet addiction among adolescents. The findings provide practical implications for the design of preventive and psychological intervention programs aimed at enhancing students’ mental health.

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate efficacy of emotion-focused therapy on impulsivity, social adjustment, and social networking addiction in adolescents who attempted suicide. The present study design was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test with a control group. statistical sample of this study was 30 people who were selected through purposive sampling and then randomly assigned to two experimental and control groups (15 people). The measurement tools included Barat's Impulsivity Questionnaire, Sinha and Singh's Social Adjustment Questionnaire, and Mobile-Based Social Networking Addiction Questionnaire. Emotion-focused therapy was implemented by a psychologist for experimental group. In order to analyze the data in this study, multivariate analysis of covariance test was used to examine hypotheses. results showed that after removing effects of pretest, there was a significant difference in the linear combination of dependent variables between the two groups studied (Wilks' Lambda = 0.780, F = 3.23, 90.432, p = 0.001, and eta squared = 0.922). Univariate analysis of covariance tests also showed that adolescents in the experimental group showed significant improvement in posttest scores of impulsivity, social adjustment, and social media addiction compared to adolescents in control group. Therefore, it can be concluded that emotion-focused therapy can be an effective treatment for adolescents who attempt suicide

Abstract
Substance addiction is one of the main challenges in public health,accompanied by negative psychological, physical, and social consequences.In the field of interventions in the field of addiction,psychological treatments have a special place.The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy and metacognitive therapy on cravings in drug addicts.The research method was a quasi-experiment of the pre-test-post-test type with the control group and the statistical population of all drug addicts in Semnan city in 2021,with the available sampling method,75 people according to the entry criteria.and exit were selected and randomly assigned to two experimental groups 1(cognitive-behavioral therapy),experimental group 2(metacognitive therapy) and a control group.The tools used in this research were Franken et al (2002).Multivariate covariance analysis was used to analyze the data.The results showed that both interventions were effective in improving cravings in drug dependent people. Also,there was no significant difference between the effectiveness of the two treatments(p<0.01).According to the obtained results, both treatments can reduce the risk of returning to drug use by changing cognitive variables related to drug abuse,such as drug-related beliefs, tempting beliefs, self-efficacy,and emotion regulation strategies. Therefore, cognitive-behavioral and metacognitive therapy can be used to prevent relapse in drug addicts.

Abstract
The present study aimed to identify the factors influencing online gaming addiction among adolescents using a qualitative research design and semi-structured interviews method based on grounded theory. The participants of this study included 20 boy adolescent aged 13 to 18 years in Tehran who were selected using a theoretical sampling method. Based on the findings, the causes of online gaming addiction were found to be filling leisure time, personal, communication, fame, and wealth acquisition. Also, personal, work, marketing, and perceived social support factors in individual, social, and family dimensions play an important role in the occurrence of this phenomenon. Improving accuracy and concentration, controlling anger, cheerfulness, and relieving depression in the individual dimension, and making friends, becoming professional, and becoming famous in the social dimension, were positive consequences of online gaming addiction. Finally, lack of time for daily activities and academic and personal failure, damage to physical health in the individual dimension, and not being understood by the family in the family dimension were the negative consequences of online game addiction. It is suggested that education planners focus their counseling programs on how to fill leisure time usefully, create enjoyable personalized entertainment, Deal with stress and Satisfy individual needs.
