Abstract
This study investigated attention bias, depression and anxiety in adolescents with Diabetes type 1.Population of the study included all 13 to 20 years old adolescents of the Iranian Diabetics Association. Of these diabetics, 25 subjects were selected as samples of the study and a group of 25 non-diabetic adolescents also participated in the study as the control group. The measurement tools were modified Stroop colour naming task, Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory and Beck Depression Inventory. When it came to analyzing the data, multivariate analysis of variance was used. The results indicated that the diabetic group had low time reaction in diabetes related words, neutral words, positive and negative words than the control group furthermore, depression and anxiety scores of the selected diabetics were higher than control group

Abstract
Development of the emotional intelligence construct in psychological literature has opened a new array of research in this field .The results of the previously conducted research showed that the emotional intelligence was correlated with several psychosocial factors, and it played a major role in interpersonal problems. The goal of the present study was investigation of the relationship between the emotional intelligence and interpersonal problems. To do so, 140 students of Semnan University were selected through random cluster sampling. Their emotional intelligence and interpersonal problems were assessed by The Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory and Inventory of Interpersonal Problems (Barkham, Hardy & Startup, 1994) respectively. The results showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between most of the emotional intelligence components and interpersonal problems. Furthermore, different emotional intelligence components predicted some aspects of interpersonal problems. In sum, the results indicated that the emotional intelligence led to the increase of mental health and decrease of interpersonal problems and thus improved the quality of social and interpersonal relationships.

Abstract
The goal of this study was to survey the relation between the social support and depression in the martyred and non-martyred father high school girl students in Ahvaz, Iran. A sample of 175 girl students, 85 martyred father students and 90 non-martyred students, were selected to complete the social support and Beck depression questionnaire. For the analysis of the data t-test and correlation coefficient were used. The findings of the study indicated that there wasn’t a significant difference between the martyred and non-martyred father students in terms of social support however, the degree of martyred father students’ depression was significantly more in comparison with the non-martyred father students’ depression. Furthermore, there was a negative correlation between the social support and depression in both groups: martyred and non-martyred father students

Abstract
The main aim of this study was to investigate the Overgenerality of Autobiographical Memory among the adolescent boys in Kermanshah,Iran . A sample of 76 Kemanshahian adolescents (25 non-depressed and 50 depressed adolescent boys,25 with substance abuse disorder and 25 without substance abuse disorder) were investigated. To evaluate autobiographical memory specificity, a standard AMT (Autobiographical Memory Test), developed by Williams and Broadbent (1986), was used. To analyze the data, the Mann-Whitney U test was used. The results indicated that depressed adolescent boys without substance abuse disorder had high scores in Overgenerality of autobiographical memory than non-depressed group depressed adolescents with substance abuse disorder had high scores in Overgenerality of autobiographical memory than non-depressed group and depressed adolescents without substance abuse disorder had high scores in Over generality of autobiographical memory than depressed adolescents with substance abuse disorder.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to explain obsessive-compulsive symptoms according to disgust, anxiety and depression in a non-clinical sample. one hundred students (50 girls, 50 boys) were included in this study. All participants were asked to complete Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory (MOCI), Disgust Scale (DS), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI). Analysis of the data involved both descriptive and inferential statistics including means, standard deviations, Pearson' correlation coefficients and regression analyses. The results revealed that disgust, anxiety and depression were significantly positively correlated with total obsessive-compulsive scores in both males and females. The results of regression analysis showed checking and doubt symptoms were best predicted by state-trait anxiety, while washing were best predicted by disgust. These findings are in line with the hypothesis of a specific relationship between disgust and at least some kinds of obsessive symptoms.

Abstract
The aim of present study was to investigate the relationship between two holistic constructs of self-awareness, mindfulness and integrative self-knowledge, and their associations with physical, psychological, social and spiritual health problem. To do so, 249 Iranian university students,170 women and 79men,completed following scales: Mindfulness Attention Awareness (Brown & Ryan, 2003), Integrative Self-Knowledge (Ghorbani, Watson & Hargis, 2008), Biopsychosociospiritual inventory (Katerndahl& Oyiriaru, 2007), and Depression Anxiety Stress (Lovibond&Lovibond, 1995). The data showed that these two constructs of self-awareness are negatively associated with all aspects of health. The integrative self-knowledge also predicted all measures of health that are beyond the mindfulness. These results point toward the integrative and temporal nature of self- awareness processes and suggest a need for studying the direction and nature of relation between Self-awareness and health.

Abstract
Pathological Internet use, or internet addiction, is an emerging phenomenon that has got substantial attention by the researchers in the recent years. This study investigated the mediating role of metacognitive beliefs in the relationship between the negative emotions and internet addiction among the university students. A sample of 220 university students completed Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Metacognitive beliefs Questionnaire, and Internet Addiction Test. When it came to analyzing the data, the hypothesized mediating model was analyzed by the structural equation modeling. All dimensions of metacognitive beliefs were found to be positively and significantly correlated with the Pathological Internet use. Further, Positive and significant correlations were also observed between Pathological Internet use and negative emotions. The results of the structural equation modeling supported the hypothesis that the relationship between negative emotions and Pathological Internet use was mediated by metacognitive beliefs. Results of this study supported the effectiveness of metacognitive theory in Pathological Internet use ,and they could provide better understanding of the Pathological Internet use.

Abstract
The aim of the present study was to investigate the efficacy of BATD on the treatment of obese women with depression and anxiety. In this study, 45 obese women (45 patients with a BMI equal to or greater than kg/m2 30) suffering from depression and anxiety were divided randomly into three groups of fifteen. All members of these groups were matched in terms of age, sex, education level and BMI. Research tools of this study included Beck Depression Inventory, Spielberger State-trait Anxiety Inventory,and treatment package of BATD. After taking a pre-test, the experiment group underwent 10 sessions of BATD, the regimen group received the treatment concerning the reduction of weight, and the third group received no treatment. After the termination of these interventions, the subjects took a post-test. The results of the multivariate analysis showed that behavioral activation treatment for depression(BATD) was effective in reducing the anxiety and depression symptoms of the patients with obesity. One of the probable reasons for the effectiveness of BATD, the increase of the level of pleasant, important activities and the promising events in the patient’s life can be mentioned. Finally, the results of this study are consistent with the results of other research.

Abstract
According to the last edition of APA (DSM-IV-TR), the cancer has been known as a traumatic stress that can affect on Psychological and cognitive health in spouses as a caregiver and might show the signs of PTSD. Attention to this aspect is very important for treatment in cancer patients. This study examined the effect of cancer (during treatment and after treatment) on the emotional performance (anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder) and cognitive performance (autobiographical memory) on their spouses. 120 individuals in 3 groups (spouses of cancer patients (during treatment), spouses of cancer patients (after treatment) and the healthy group), that have been matched in sex age and intelligence attend to the research. The instruments of the research include the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised (WAIS-R), the Persian versions of the Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R), the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), the Autobiographical Memory Test (AMT) and the Autobiographical Memory Inventory (AMI). Results indicated that no significant difference in depression was found between all three groups but the target group (during treatment) showed more psychological distress than the control group. Both of target groups indicated no significant difference in PTSD at all and control group showed higher levels of episodic specificity, episodic memory and autobiographical memory scores than the other groups. The findings are discussed in terms of the proposed theory about interaction of emotion and cognition, especially PTSD

Abstract
The present study investigated the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation strategies and depression, anxiety and stress in students through using descriptive correlational research method. To do so , throughrandom cluster sampling, 235 students(102 boys and 133 girls) of Payame Noor University with the average age of 23/31 and a standard deviation of 2/53 were selected and then completed cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire (CERQ) and depression, anxiety and stress scale (DASS-21). Data was analyzed by using multivariate analysis of variance and correlation matrix. Results indicated a negative relationship between depression and positive refocusing, between planning and positive reappraisal. Moreover, there was a positive relationship between depression, anxiety, stress and all of the maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies (other blame, self-blame, rumination, catastrophizing and acceptance). Among the components of cognitive emotion regulation strategies, there was no significant difference between male and female students, except rumination. There was also no difference between male and female students in depression, anxiety and stress. Considering the above mentioned results, it seems that cognitive emotion regulation training focused on positive refocusing, planning and positive reappraisal is very essential to enhance the physical, mental and social health of students

Abstract
This research aims to investigate the effectiveness and to compare the brief behavioral activation treatment and meta-cognitive therapy in the reduction of the symptoms and in the improvement of the quality of life in the major depressed patients. Using a pre-test post-test experimental design along with control group and also conventional sampling method, 34 female subjects, being evaluated according to DSM-IV-TR by the psychiatrist, were randomly divided into two experimental groups and a control group namely group under short-term behavioral activation treatment, group under meta cognitive therapy and control group. The experimental groups were studied for two months .BDI-II, HRSD, WHOQOL-BREF were given to the subjects before and after treatment and at the 3 month follow up period. The results were analyzed using multi-variable covariance analysis, Tokay post hoc test, and T-test. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the effectiveness of the two methods of treatment. The findings not only confirmed the effectiveness of the two methods of treatment in the reduction of symptoms and improvement of the quality of life in depressed patients, but they also showed the considerable preference of the short-term behavioral activation treatment over the meta cognitive therapy at the end of the treatment and also follow-up period. Both methods of treatment were effective in the reduction of depression symptoms, and given the preference of short-term behavioral activation treatment over the meta cognitive therapy, this method (short-term behavioral activation) can be used as a selected method for depression treatment.

Abstract
Present research studied the role of anxiety sensitivity and cognitive emotion regulation in the anxiety and depression. At first, of 300 individuals who were volunteer to participate in the study, on basis of their score on the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale, 41 individuals who had one standard deviation above the mean in DASS depression component were put in the depressed group, 52 individuals who had one standard deviation above the mean in DASS anxiety component were put in the anxious group, and 60 individuals who had not high scores were casually put in the normal group. Then they completedanxiety sensitivity index andshort form ofcognitive emotion regulation questionnaire. Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and stepwise discriminant analysis. Results showed that for the classification of the individuals in each group, anxiety sensitivity, positive reappraisal, positive refocusing, catastrophication, self-blame and others blaming had significant predicting contribution. The anxiety sensitivity was the strongest predicting variable for the membership of the individuals in the groups. In sum, 59.5% of the individuals have been placed correctly in the groups. These results showed that anxiety sensitivity and cognitive emotion regulation ,as two important factors, had important role in psychopathology of depression and anxiety and so special focus should be put on them at the time of psychotherapy.

Abstract
Depression is a common psychological disorder among the mothers of newborn children and it correlates with the social and psychological adjustment of children and parents. The aim of the present research was to examine the factors affecting the depression in the mothers with the children under the age of two. The sample of this descriptive-correlation study included 220 mothers having the children under the age of two of women of Tehran, who were at Tehran’s Parks, these subjects were selected by purposeful and accessible sampling method. Also, the tools used to collect the data included Beck Depression Inventory, Parenting Stress Index, Sources of Social Support Scale, Maternal efficacy Questionnaire, Maternal separation anxiety scale and Child temperament questionnaire. Stepwise regression analysis showed that parenting stress and parenting self- efficacy in two steps could explain 29% of variance in maternal depression. Therefore, educational programs relevant to the mentioned factors can reduce the maternal depression and can prevent from children’s psychological problems.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the mediating role of five factors personality in regulating of relationship between perceived and objective stress and anxiety, depression, and physical symptoms . 390 bank managers responded five factors personality ( NEO ) , perceived stress , objective stress , anxiety and depression scals and symptoms check list . The results showed the interaction between Neurotism , Extraversion , conscientiousness mediated the relationship of perceived stress with anxiety, depression and physical symptoms . Objective stress influenced by perceived stress that emphasized on importance of subjectivity of stress. Findings showed simultaneous interaction these factors (low Neurotism , high Extraversion , high conscientiousness ) leads to a reduction in the effects of stress .

The results of Effect of Impulse Control Training on Impulsiveness and Anxiety and Depressions sisters of children with childhood onset fluency disorders. Although this study is limited by the absence of a control group, these results clearly imply strong and generalized results for Impulse therapy. The treatment appears therefore promising, although a controlled evaluation of its effectiveness is necessary to draw a definitive conclusion.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to compare the depression, aggression, and self-esteem of adolescents with high-conflict and low-conflict parents. With this purpose in mind, 230 adolescent girls who were studying in high schools of Bahar city of Hamadan province, were selected by cluster sampling method and completed following questionnaires: The Children's Perceptions of Interparental Conflict Scale(CPIC), Modified Depression Scale, hostility scale of Symptom Checklist 90 ( SCL-90), and Hare Area-Specific Self-Esteem Scale. Data analyzed by multivariate analysis. The results showed that there are significant differences between adolescents with high and low conflicted parents in term of level of depression, aggression, and self-esteem. Adolescents who perceived their parents more conflicted had higher levels of depression and aggression and lower levels of self-esteem. In sum, the findings indicate that parent’s conflict resolution style has negative mental health outcomes for their children. Finally, the implications of findings are discussed.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of bullying among students and its relationship to the quality of family environment, impulsivity, depression, beliefs supportiveofaggressive behavior, and attitude towards school. The sample consisted of 344 secondary school students (205 girls and 139 boys) in Kermanshah who were selected by multistage cluster sampling method. They completed Olweus Bully/victim Questionnaire, University of Texas Depression scale, Impulsivity scale(Bosworth, 1999), Beliefs supportive of Violence (Dahlberg et al., 1998), Psychological sense of School membership scale (Goodenow, 1993), and family climate scale(Holman et al., 1994). Data was analyzed by descriptive analysis procedures and stepwise regression analysis. The results showed that different forms of bullying behaviors prevalence are 13/7 to 52/1 percent for boys, and 10/2 to 64.6 percent for girls. The most reported bullying behaviors for both of groups were name calling and teasing in hurtful way, and the least reported bullying behaviors were taking money or other thing away and damaging them. Results showed that among girls, among all studied variables have significant correlations with bullying behavior, but among boys just three variables (the quality of family climate, depression, and impulsivity) were significantly correlated with bullying behavior. Stepwise regression analysis also showed that for girls, the three variables Quality family atmosphere, a sense of belonging to school and attitudes toward violence significantly predict bullying, but for boys, only impulsivity was significant predictor.. Finally, the implications of findings are discussed.

The purpose of the present studywas to investigate the effect of Sahaja-Yogamindfulness exercises on reducing stress, anxiety anddepression in women with Stress, anxiety anddepression disorders. Post-test without control group. The statisticalpopulation of this research included 700 women who
went to Tehran’s Shahid Shirin health center. Basedon the purpose of the study, 20 women were selectedby the convenience sampling method. Theyweretrained in 12 two-hour sessions which lasted 3months. For the pre-test, post-test and the 3-monthfollow-up, depression, anxiety and stress scale wasused to collectdata. Analysis of variance withrepeated measures and t- test were used to analyze thecollected data. The results indicated that there wasasignificantdifference between the pre-test and posttestin terms of the reduction of stress, anxiety anddepression (p<0.01). The same results were obtainedafter a 3-month follow-up (p<0.01). So it seems thatthe Sahaja Yoga mindfulness exercise program, as asupplementary intervention, along with other commontreatments can be useful for treating emotionaproblems of individuals, especially women.

Abstract
In recent years, rumination has been used in the etiology of depression and hopelessness as two proximal predictors of suicide ideation and behavior. But findings have been inconsistent with respect to the role of rumination subtypes in the prediction of suicidal ideation and it was supposed that reflection (focusing on the causes of depressed mood) was a more adaptive form than the brooding (focusing on the results of depressed mood). The present study, in the context of Ruminative Response style theory of depression, aimed at examining the role of rumination and its subtypes along with depression and hopelessness in the prediction of suicidal ideation. To this end, 177 undergraduate students with scores of 10 or higher in BDI-II were asked to complete rumination and hopelessness scales and questions about suicide ideation. Using logistic regression technique, it was shown that this model could predict 59.3% of the likelihood of the presence of suicidal ideation. This study was in line with earlier studies which have presumed reflection as the more adaptive subtype. Results also suggested that there was a greater correlation between rumination, its subtypes and suicidal ideation in females. This study also emphasizes the use of interventions targeting rumination in order to prevent suicidal ideations.
