The aim of the present study was to design a cognitive motivation model related to the financial decisions of university entrepreneurs at the University of Tehran. The research method was exploratory mixed and using the content analysis method through the qualitative software Max-Quda. The field of study and participants were university entrepreneurs at the University of Tehran, 16 of whom were selected purposefully and snowballed and in-depth interviews were conducted. In the second stage of the research, the model designed in the qualitative stage was tested quantitatively. The statistical population of the study included 185 university entrepreneurs located in the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, of which 125 were selected as a sample by simple random sampling. Structural equations and PLS software were used to examine the relationships expressed in the model. Findings: The qualitative results showed that "entrepreneurial financial decision-making motivation" was identified as a cognitive motivation factor and 3 components were identified as "tolerance of financial decision-making process uncertainties", "financial self-efficacy in decision-making", and "entrepreneurial cognitive motivation". In the quantitative part, the structural equation model was used for evaluation and showed that the model has a strong fit.
